Game Day
Hey Dolls!
Have you noticed that sports luxe or "elevated sports" seems to be a huge trend on the fashion scene of late? About two years ago the trend really started picking up momentum and this year saw a major break through especially on the S/S15 runways including from Topshop, Burberry and Rag & Bone. The most striking example and certainly the talk of the town at the moment however would have to be the Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration that impressively marries sports wear with all sorts of edgy appeal. I dont know about you all but i cant wait to get my hands on that collection on November 6th!
In the mean time, I wanted to style my own sports luxe look! Katy Perry was recently announced as the 2015 Super Bowl half time show performer which has pretty much taken over headlines; so, I was inspired to use this year's winners, The Seattle Seahawks jersey as the focal point for my look. I'm all about keeping the look chic so I opted for the platinum jersey as oppose to their standard blue one. That's why I love this Fanatics jersey shop by the way, there are so many jerseys to choose from; new, vintage and limited editions- authentic and replicas! So even if you're not a Seahawks fan, you will most likely find your favorite team's jersey there too, and in variations!
To complement the jersey, I thought, nothing says elevated sports quite like joggers. The quilted pocket details on the pair I selected really caught my eye; such a unique touch, dont you think? I also found these super cute cut out booties while browsing through NastyGal's sale items the other day which goes great with the jersey and joggers. These booties are so sporty; something about the laces of the shoe reminded me much of the laces on the NFL game ball and I though- how perfect! To complete the look I threw in a pair of blue tinted aviators and an envelope purse with blue details for some Seahawks team spirit! What do you think about this look?
Would you wear it to the superbowl?! Also, have you guys given this sport luxe trend any consideration? I'd love to know!
